Potato Gnocchi & Tomato Basil Sauce by a native Italian

Great class if you don't like crowds and want personal instruction from a native Italian.

This class starts off with making a homemade tomato-basil sauce from quality ingredients that is simple, delicious, and was famous in a popular NYC Italian restaurant for its two secret ingredients.

While the sauce is cooking, you will make handmade tender and pillowy potato gnocchi that rival those served in the finest Italian restaurants or in any Nonna's kitchen. I will show you how to get the potatoes and dough just right while adding a few key ingredients that render them extra delicious (unlike your average variety), so that they can even be eaten by themselves. Then I'll show you two methods for making ridges to hold the sauce. You gotta have the ridges!

Finally, you will learn how to make a truly delicious bruschetta that receives accolades from everyone who tastes it - again with my secret ingredient that goes undetected but tastes amazing!

After our work is done, we will sit down and enjoy a Gnocchi meal (with gnocchi that I've already prepared just before your arrival), and I will also show you how to pan-sear them in a butter-sage sauce that is absolutely delicious and another sauce that you will learn in this lesson. It will be eaten alongside the crusty and delicious bruschetta that we just made and finished with Italian espresso / cappuccino with one of my homemade Italian desserts.

You will not only go home satiated, but you take home all the gnocchi that you made (5-6 servings) and sauce to be enjoyed later in the privacy of your own surroundings, not to mention detailed recipes for everything you make here - how cool is that!
