??????? ???????? ??? ? ????-??????? ???? ?? ???? ?????? ????? ???? ?????????? ??? ????????? ????????? – ??? ?????? ??????! Take part in two days of celebration where fun and flavour collide as we celebrate the mighty spud in all its glory. Join us for potato themed games and crafts, family friendly activities, and heritage demonstrations.
Join us on either the Sunday or Monday to learn more about cheesemaking from our local cheese expert Tracey Johnson of CheeseNeeds.com, watch Dave from SilverTree Woodworking work on the treadle pole lathe, and make butter and ice cream with our staff! Chat with this summer's staff as they demonstrate their heritage projects - on Sunday, learn about soap making from Allie and sourdough from Maeven, and on Monday talk to Sylvie about home remedies and to Shannon about pickles!
Bring a picnic out to relax in the fresh air as you listen to live music from Scott LaPointe and Grace Hoksbergen on the Sunday, and tunes from Genevieve Jaide and Britt A.M. on Monday! You can also order breakfast or lunch from the delicious starchy themed menu that puts the potato in the spotlight - right where it belongs! Baller Foods will also be on site Monday if you're looking for something different.
Learn about the nine heirloom potato varieties lovingly grown in the garden all summer long. On both days you'll be able to purchase Haida, Banana, and French Fingerling potatoes. Due to a limited yield, Sieglinde, All Blue, Green Mountain, and Cariboo potatoes will be available Sunday and Clinton Red, Bintje, and Irish Cobbler potatoes will be available for sale Monday! We'll also have a selection of garlic available: choose from Persian Star, Northern Quebec, Russian, and Susan Delafield!
Discover the history of the site through a guided tour, and don't forget to take advantage of our store sale, which gives you 10% off all store merchandise and candy!
Admission is by donation, with a recommended amount of $10.00 per family. The recommended admission for individuals is $5.00 for adults and $3.00 for seniors/children
