Celebrate creativity, local heritage and storytelling in this unique ceramics workshop with artist Alice Thatcher.

Inspired by the iconic Staffordshire Dog, participants will create and decorate their own personalised ceramic figure, exploring identity, character and personal stories through clay. Create an individual dog or attend with a friend or family member and make a pair of "Duo Dogs" together.

Suitable for all ages and abilities, this welcoming workshop offers an opportunity to learn ceramic decorating techniques while celebrating Stoke-on-Trent's rich pottery heritage.

Finished pieces will be professionally glazed and fired and available for collection at a later date.

Join us for an enjoyable afternoon of making, decorating and storytelling as part of the Three Counties Open Art Exhibition 2026.
