People prepare moms for birth. Not enough prepare them for postpartum.
After having Harley, I actually felt amazing in the beginning. Jeremy supported me as much as he possibly could, and I’m incredibly grateful for that. Around 6 months postpartum, the hormonal, mental, and physical changes started hitting me in ways I wasn’t prepared for.
It’s hard to explain unless you’ve experienced it, but sometimes postpartum can feel like watching yourself outside your own body while trying to continue showing up for everyone else.
I was so focused on caring for my baby that I didn’t realize how much I needed support too.
It took me nearly TEN months postpartum to start finding information & resources that helped me understand what was happening, and that is one reason why I decided to participate in The Climb alongside Postpartum Support International (PSI) — helping moms & families access postpartum mental health support, education, and community.
From now through June 5th, fundraiser pre-order deliveries through Strong Roots Co. will help support this cause!
COME SEE ME on June 7th from 12pm–4pm for live music, local vendors, community, and cookies @ Fowler Park Cumming Georgia
Postpartum support matters. No mama should feel alone.
