About this Event

In conjunction with the exhibition “It’s Just the Desert” on view at the Prime Desert Woodland Preserve’s Elyze Clifford Interpretive Center, artist Robin Rosenthal will lead a workshop using the 19th century cyanotype process to make sun prints of botanical specimens from our local desert shrubs and wildflowers.

Supplies will be provided. However, if participants would like to get a head start they can bring pressings of local desert flora. Flatness is important, so stems, leaves and flowers can be pressed flat under heavy books or bricks beforehand. Please keep in mind the paper size we’ll be working with is 5x7, pre-treated with a photo-sensitive coating.

Take advantage of our springtime flowering and share some postcards from the desert!
