Postcards For Palestine, Sunday, 30th August, Afghan Burrito, Berkeley!

Come join Pen Palestine in celebration of Palestinian cuisine and culture at Afghan Burrito in Berkeley to benefit education efforts in the Gaza Strip.

The day kicks off at 11am with coffee and pastries, a vintage boutique of clothing, shoes, boots, accessories, posters, other unique treasures and Palestinian kufiya made by the Hirbawi Factory in Il Khalil. Everyone is invited to draw, color and write a postcard to a child in Gaza that will be shared with students of the Gaza Great Minds Foundation in Gaza City schools and Pen Palestine English language students in Deir Al Balah.

LUNCH is a sampling of traditional Palestinian dishes and a drink that will be served beginning at noon until 2pm. Make sure to reserve your ticket for food (vegetarian) in advance.

All proceeds from the Postcards For Palestine day of fun benefit Pen Palestine's partners in Gaza including Gaza Great Minds Foundation and independent teachers of English language working to keep their youth prepared to better navigate a very difficult reality in which to live and grow.

• Your $100 donation helps provide pencils, notebooks, art supplies and 2 backpacks for 2 children

• Your $150 donation helps provide pencils, notebooks, art supplies and 3 backpacks for 3 children

• Your $250 donation helps provide pencils, notebooks, art supplies and 5 backpacks for 5 children

ALL $150 & $250 DONORS WILL RECEIVE A SPECIAL EDITION DEIR AL BALAH KUFIYA in addition to their plate of delicious food the day of the Postcards For Palestine fundraiser.
