CanSurvive Malaysia and Pure Life Society to Host Workshop on Music Therapy in End-of-Life Care

Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia – 20 September 2026 – CanSurvive Centre Malaysia Berhad, in collaboration with Pure Life Society, will organize a special post-conference workshop titled “Music Therapy in End-of-Life Care” on Sunday, 20 September 2026, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM at the Multiple Purpose Hall, Pure Life Society, Kuala Lumpur.


The four-hour experiential workshop will be conducted by Dr. Shubham Kulkarni, an Ayurveda physician, Indian classical vocalist, music therapist, and palliative care practitioner with extensive international experience in holistic healing and end-of-life care.


Designed for healthcare professionals, caregivers, volunteers, counsellors, hospice workers, patients’ family members, and members of the public interested in compassionate care, the workshop will explore the therapeutic role of music in supporting emotional, psychological, and spiritual well-being during serious illness and end-of-life journeys.


Participants will gain practical understanding of how music therapy can be integrated into palliative and supportive care settings through a combination of lectures, clinical case studies, live demonstrations, guided exercises, and interactive musical experiences.

About the Speaker

Dr. Shubham Kulkarni, BAMS, MD (Ayurveda), PGDPC (Palliative Care), is an internationally recognized Indian music therapist and Indian classical vocalist. His work integrates Ayurveda, music therapy, palliative care, and holistic healing approaches to support emotional, neurological, and spiritual well-being. He has conducted workshops, lectures, and therapeutic interventions across India and several other countries. Dr. Kulkarni is also a contributing author to the forthcoming book Death & Dying.
