Event Description:
Nga will be sharing her refugee experience that has influenced her human rights advocacy to become a leader for refugee rights and other forcibly displaced people at home in Denver and abroad, including being selected as the Refugee Representative at a recent convening hosted by United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Geneva, Switzerland.
* All attendees will be automatically entered into a raffle to win original origami earrings crafted by Nga.
Agenda & Location:
4:30pm - Meet at the mural of Nga Vương-Sandoval by Thomas Evans “I Am Detour”. Participants can then choose walk 20 minutes with the group to the Posner Center. (The mural is located on Champa Street between 23rd and 24th Street.) We'll meet in front of the mural at 4:30pm.
5:30pm - Meet at the Posner Center for the film showing and discussion and light snacks and drinks will be provided.
