San Diego Youth Cello Quartet is one of the prime ensembles coached by Ruslan Biryukov. Program from classics to Klezmer, exciting and fun!Acclaimed San Diego Youth Cello Quartet, winner of the 2020 Music Teachers Association VOCE Competition will present a new program consisting of virtuoso cello solo, cello quartet original classics and Klezmer arrangements:
Wilhelm Fitzenhagen (1848-1890): Concert-Walzer
Karl Jenkins (b.1944): Palladio
J.S.Bach: Suite No. 3
Klezmer Medley
This concert is a fundraiser to help our young cellists, members of the quartet:
-Justin Wu, winner of the La Jolla Symphony and MTAC Concerto Competitions
-Debora Okhotina, winner of the San Diego Youth Symphony Concerto Competition and American Protege International Competition in NY, Finalist of the 2023 MTAC VOCE competition
-Julian Wu, winner of the Satori Competition in Los Angeles, MTAC VOCE Competition and San Diego Youth Symphony Concerto competition
-Cynthia Huang, winner of the Music Teachers National Association Competition, Satori Competition and finalist of the 2023 MTAC VOCE Competition
