Learning Objectives

By the end of this course, participants will be able to:

• Recognise and understand the emotional and behavioural needs of children and how these may present in different situations. Understanding the root causes of behaviour.
• Apply trauma-informed approaches that promote healing, resilience, and stability for children with the belief of healing from trauma.
• Understand what neurodivergence is and identify the characteristics of common neurodivergent conditions.
• Identify the impact of sensory processing differences, communication styles, and functioning in daily life.
• Develop effective communication skills to manage conflict, strengthen relationships, and build trust.
• Using positive behaviour support strategies and establish consistent, nurturing routines.
• Build practical and easy techniques to support emotional regulation for both children and themselves.

This course is designed for parents & guardians, carers, social workers, and other professionals who support children with emotional and behavioural needs.
