About this Event

Looking to expand your social circle or find a romantic connection in a relaxed environment? Join us for Mates & Dates—a low-pressure, welcoming space to meet other polyamorous and ENM folks for friendship, dating, or both!

Whether you’re looking for new besties, potential dates, or simply great conversation, this event is designed to help you form genuine connections.

How It Works

• Meet & Greet: Arrive early, grab a drink, and get settled before we get started.
• Badges & Signals: You'll get a badge/tag indicating what you’re open to (Mates, Dates, or Both), so everyone’s on the same page from the start.
• Speed-Matching (with a Twist!): Starting at 7:30 PM, we’ll run quick 6–10 minute rounds. You’ll meet people of all genders and sexualities.
• No Awkward Silences: Every seating position features a fun conversation prompt to break the ice effortlessly!
• Post-Event Matching: At the end of the evening, hand in your Mates & Dates card with the details of who you’d like to connect with.

After the Event

Leave the awkward follow-ups to us! We’ll play matchmaker behind the scenes using the contact details or social handles you're comfortable sharing. If you have a mutual connection (for friendship or dating), we’ll let you know within 48 hours.

Tickets & Pricing

• Admission: Free to attend (food and drink are not included, but available to purchase at the venue).
• Donations: There will be an honesty box on the night if you'd like to contribute towards event running costs and organisation, but there is zero pressure!

Accessibility Information

We want everyone to feel comfortable and informed before attending:

• Venue Access: The event will be held on the first floor of Panero Lounge. This space is accessed via two flights of stairs, and unfortunately, there is no lift available.
• Toilets: There is an accessible toilet located on the ground floor, as well as additional toilets on the first floor.
• Sensory / Sound: We will request that the venue keep music on the first floor turned down to low background noise to help keep conversation easy and comfortable.

• Late Evening: Wrap-up & Match Card Submission
