Portraiture Musical Chairs: Indie Sleaze Summer
About this Event
Portrait Musical Chairs is a fast-paced, social figure drawing experience where artists become both the subject and the artist. Throughout the evening, participants will rotate partners, creating a series of timed portraits while meeting fellow creatives in a relaxed, welcoming environment.
This month’s session will feature an Indie Sleaze Summer playlist, setting the tone with late-2000s and early-2010s indie rock, dance-punk, and electro-pop favorites. Between rounds, we’ll introduce optional creative prompts to encourage new ways of observing and drawing. Follow the prompts, put your own spin on them, or simply enjoy the music and draw at your own pace.
Whether you’re looking to sharpen your portrait skills, meet other artists, or just spend an evening drawing, Portrait Musical Chairs is open to artists of all experience levels.
