Portrait Painting - Child & Parent: Easter Special

Join us for a fun art workshop! Led by professional artist and children's book writer/illustrator Gizem Gozde Ucar, experiment with brushes and paints and create fun portraits. This will be a great child and parent experience for Easter!

I guide every little artist one-on-one on their portraits and they learn the basics of portrait drawing.

In this workshop, children and parents will learn the basics of acrylic paints and Gizem will teach how to draw a portrait step-by-step and will guide you through in your individual paintings. This is a great opportunity for children to discover the artist within themselves in an extremely fun and creative way.

? Parents do not need to stay as this is a drop-off workshop but you are welcome to join too!

Children will get to experiment with paints and brushes to roam free with their imagination. When they hold the brush and wear the red berets, they will feel like true artists! Who knows, this might be the workshop that will uncover their talents and lifelong passion for art!

You don’t need to have any prior painting experience, this workshop is perfect for beginners. The talented artist Gizem will teach the basics of acrylic paint and how to use the tools so that you can explore your creative side. She will be there to help and guide you along the way.

All painting materials will be provided: high-quality paints, brushes, canvases and easels. And each participant will also get to wear a red artist beret so that they can feel every bit of the artists they are!

Parents can join alongside their kids and you might even want to draw each other ❤️ It's such an amazing memory to share this art experience together!

The duration of the workshop is approximately 1 hour.

This event is suitable for adults and children who are over 4 years old. You can have some alone time and enjoy your drinks at the pub. This is a drop-off workshop for 4+ children. Children aged 4 and under can join too, but they must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout the duration of the event.

One ticket will get you one canvas & easel, and painting materials. If the parent wishes to paint a canvas alongside their children, they will need to buy another ticket.

At the end of the event, you will get to take your unique creations home with you!

The workshop is run by a professional artist and children’s book writer and illustrator Gizem Gozde Ucar. Her recent works were exhibited in London, Manchester, Serbia and Greece. She has been doing workshops and events for children and adults for over 10 years. She is looking forward to welcoming you all at The People’s Park Tavern to have a day full of art, fun and laughter!
