Note: ONE WEEK DELAY! The good, good folks at Novare Res are having their much-deserved staff party on the first Monday of March, so we'll be singing one week late, on Monday March 10!
Singing what, you ask? Old songs, new songs, work songs, play songs, land songs, sea songs, and no experience necessary! Join us on Monday, March 10th, 7:00–9:00 p.m. (and then come back every month: we *almost* always meet on the *first* Monday of each month; this March is an exception), at Novare Res in Portland (4 Canal Plaza).
We will sing songs that allow everyone to join in, with choruses that are easy to pick up on the spot. Everyone is welcome to take a turn or two leading! We have had a good time with everything from Appalachian folk songs to jazz standards to sea chanteys to Irish drinking songs to Country classics — if the room can catch on, it belongs! Expect spontaneity, humor, harmony, and new friends.
