Portland: Parkinson's Disease 101 (In-Person)
About this Event
This introductory class is designed for individuals newly diagnosed with Parkinson’s, as well as care partners, family members, and anyone seeking a clearer understanding of the condition.
We’ll begin with the basics—explaining what Parkinson’s is, how it affects the body, and what to expect as the condition progresses. From there, we’ll focus on what you can do—covering treatment options, the importance of exercise, and practical strategies to support your physical, emotional, and cognitive well‑being.
Most importantly, we’ll connect you to community. You’ll learn about local resources, support networks, and how organizations like Parkinson’s Resources of Oregon can help you navigate the road ahead.
You don’t have to figure this out alone.
Join us to learn, ask questions, and take the next step with greater clarity, confidence, and support
