Portland Outdoor Career Fair
About this Event
The Portland Outdoor Career Fair: one night the region's outdoor education field is in one room. Employers from across the field are hiring for fall with free tables: outdoor schools, camps, parks and rec, environmental nonprofits, ski areas, guiding outfits, gear shops, and more. Every booth could offer hands-on demos, interviews on the spot, and your stickered passport book enters you in the raffle. No online portals. Talk to the person who actually does the hiring.
It's a connection point for the field itself: conversation tables where educators from every program trade what they learned this summer, and skill demos from fire by friction to blacksmithing to a CDL primer for learning to drive a big bus.
And because it's late summer, it's a real party. Free pizza, beverages (regular for all, adult beverages 21+ with ID), open axe throwing and archery lanes, and a tournament with an actual crown.
Employers are welcome to exhibit. Tables are free and limited, first confirmed, first in, and every table gets real face time with the region's proven summer staff four weeks before the September scramble.
