Portland International Airport: A Template for Responsible Wood Sourcing

About this Event
WHAT: Learn how Sustainable Northwest Wood enabled the Port of Portland to construct the new PDX roof entirely with
FSC® wood, traceable back to Washington Forests.
WHY: As too many well intentioned projects hear that it is not possible or it costs too much, it is worth seeing how responsible sourcing can and has been done - and why it's so important.
Gather with colleagues for complimentary drinks and snacks to learn about the Portland Airport remodel. Sustainable Northwest Wood's Founder and President, Ryan Temple will share the journey of sourcing over 800,000 Board Feet of local wood for PDX and how this unprecented project can serve as a model for future aspirational projects.
While you are there, check out the beautiful, locally sourced Madrone steps & seating in the “Hill Climb” at Seattle's new Convention Center, and ask Ryan about that sourcing story.
