About this Event
Plant Wisdom & Practice — Friday April 17
6:00PM - 8:00PM | Studio Forma
Featuring: Lemon Balm
Plant Wisdom & Practice is an immersive evening devoted to lemon balm, a gentle plant known for calming the nervous system, uplifting the heart, and restoring a sense of ease within the body.
This gathering opens a doorway into the plant’s cultural lineage, healing properties, and relational spirit. Through guided tasting, you will experience lemon balm as tea and herbal preparation, allowing its essence to move through your body.
From there, we enter a gentle embodiment practice guided through movement, breath, and deep listening, inviting you to feel the plant not just as knowledge, but as relationship.
Blending education, sensory ritual, and somatic exploration, this is a space to slow down, soften, and root into presence. A space to remember that we are nature, in conversation with nature.
This is not a workshop you attend. It is a practice you enter.
Featuring: Jennifer Moore (The Well of Sound / Freequeensee)
Jennifer Moore is a multi-disciplinary artist, composer, poet, and dancer rooted in the Pacific Northwest.
Guided by a deep curiosity of the space where the seen and unseen meet, her work moves fluidly between sound, movement, and ritual. She creates as a practice of liberation where art and existence are one, and where ancestral connection lives at the center.
Through her sonic meditation practice The Well of Sound, Jennifer cultivates spaces of deep listening and collective restoration, offering sound as a pathway to calm the nervous system and reconnect to self.
Her work has traveled internationally, weaving music, movement, and story across cultures from Kenya to South Africa, and continues to be grounded in community, care, and creative expression.
On April 17, Jennifer will guide us through a living practice of sound and embodiment, supporting us in entering relationship with Lemon Balm and with ourselves.
Tea & Elixir Bar — featuring: Heartful Rootz
Throughout the evening, a tea and elixir bar will be available, featuring handcrafted herbal blends and plant-based preparations featuring flower essences by PORTALS. Heartful Rootz will offer honey herbal elixir tastings—an added layer of sensory exploration to soften, open, and deepen your experience.
Heartful Rootz is an Indigenous-led collective devoted to cultural reclamation, holistic well-being, and Earth stewardship. Rooted in the understanding that everything is interconnected people, land, water, plants, animals, and spirit their offerings invite a deeper relationship with the living world.
Through each sip, you are invited to taste Lemon Balm, to slow into your body, and to experience healing as something shared and remembered.
Select offerings, including fermented honey elixirs and tea, will be available for purchase.
