Port of Dundee Bus Tours and The HMS Unicorn Activity Day

The Port of Dundee has a long and interesting history, dating back to the Middle Ages when it was an important trading hub for the city and the port continues to play a vital role in Scotland’s economy. Forth Ports is offering two FREE bus tours on Saturday 17th of June so visitors can learn about the history behind the port and learn about its current and future plans.

The HMS unicorn, located in the Port of Dundee, is one of the most remarkable historic ships. A limited number of FREE spaces to visit the HMS Unicorn in this special Activity Day (June 17) have been made available. Visitors will learn about knot tying, practice sharp shooting skills and find out what it is like to be a sailor.

Everyone who has booked a Bus Tour ticket is eligible for a ticket to the HMS Unicorn. A paper ticket for the ship will be given out to those on the tour. An additional 50 tickets will also be available to visit the HMS Unicorn, these extra tickets do not include the Port of Dundee Bus tour.

The HMS Unicorn is only accessible with a paper ticket. Paper tickets will be distributed in front of the Apex Hotels (pick-up and drop-off point for the Bus tours). You will not be able to enter the HMS Unicorn without a paper ticket, whether you’re participating in the bus tours or not. If you have booked your space for the Activity Day at the HMS Unicorn, please make your way to the pick up and drop-off point for the Bus Tours (in front of the Apex hotel). Forth Ports staff will be able to validate your QR code and provide you with a paper ticket.

All paper tickets must be collected before 2pm on 17 June 2023. Tickets will only be valid for this specific day (June 17). We hope everyone has a brilliant time!
