Port Everglades Environmental Updates and Coral Nursery Industry Day 2024

INDUSTRY DAY: PORT EVERGLADES DEEPENING PROJECT – PROPOSED DREDGING ENVIRONMENTAL AND CORAL NURSERY UPDATES

The Jacksonville District of the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will be holding an Industry Day event regarding the lastest updates to dredging requirements associated with the forthcoming Port Everglades Deepening project, and seeks feedback from the dredging industry and supporting environmental contractors, which will only be used for preliminary planning purposes. Seeking specific information, a list of questions will be uploaded to the SAM.gov website under the subject Notice ID. The Government is requesting answers to questions regarding the potential methods to limit impacts from turbidity and sedimentation, artifical reefs and boulder creation, and coral nursery capabilities, which will be discussed with contractors during the Industry Day breakout sessions.
