Following our tradition in giving back to the community and the environment, We present to you this year’s:

POQ BEACH CLEAN-UP IN COOPERATION WITH DEAP QATAR CONSERVATION.
ATTIRE: Group Event White Shirt (or plain white shirt)
LOCATION: ZUBARA Beach
(Meet up Few meters away from ZUBARA FORT -outside parking at 1:30pm SHARP)
DETAILS / THINGS TO BRING:
-Volunteers must have their own transportation. 4x4 is mandatory , sedans cannot reach the location.
-Anyone under 18 years of age must be accompanied by an adult.
-HAND Gloves and GARBAGE bags will be provided by DEAP.
-Please dress PROPERLY: Let’s be respectful of the local culture. Shoulders and knees covered, no small shorts. Long shorts or pants are ok.
-Don’t forget sun protection.
-Bring your own food and drinks. Please bring a reusable water bottle. Feel free to bring something to share (not mandatory), but please make sure it is something that’s not too heavily packaged so we produce less waste (practice what we preach).
-There are NO toilets or facilities at the beach location. However there’s always a Woqod petrol station along the way.

Program:
-1pm arrival to the site. PLEASE BE ON TIME! We will start the off-road drive to the cleanup location at 1:30pm sharp.
-2pm to 3pm clean-up activities
-3pm to 4:30pm social time, enjoy a beautiful clean beach and a beautiful sunset.
-4:30pm end of the event- we drive out AS ONE.
Note:
1. Participants must bring reusable drinking bottles (let’s not add to the garbage).
2. Participants can stay and enjoy the beautiful Sunset at the beach at their own risk.
3. We are going to a place where not a lot of people has ever seen. It is very remote and 4X4 high clearance vehicles are mandatory- the place requires off-road driving and about half an hour of driving over rocky/rough terrain. Please ensure you have a good set of tires, a full size spare tire and the necessary tools to replace a flat tire.-just in case.
***Every participant/volunteer acknowledges that not POQ & DEAP, nor any of its volunteers is responsible for the actions, the consequences of these actions, and the well being of participants en route, during, and after the clean-up. All volunteers acknowledge the risks associated with the clean-up and being outdoors in nature and the wilderness. All responsibility relies on each volunteer attending the clean-up EVENT.
