WHAT IS POPUP CHORUS?
Do you like to sing? Have you thought about joining a chorus but are too busy to commit? Do you sing in the shower or in your car? If you answered “yes” to any of these questions, you belong in PopUp Chorus! There’s no audition, just show up and sing with a bunch of other lovely strangers. They’ll soon become friends! Together, we form an ad hoc chorus and are never the same group twice. Everyone is welcome at PopUp Chorus, regardless of ability. At our weekly Monday night events, participants arrive and “learn” parts and harmonies for two songs, a well-known pop song and an indie song, under the skillful tutelage of conductors, Carter Hodge (Dissimilar South) and Kayla Richardson-Piche. When everyone is ready, we do a live-streamed performance video. Our credo? Embrace imperfection and have FUN! Stay in the loop.
