Capture the beauty of seasonal seed heads and flowers to create a bespoke botanical cushion cover using beautiful pre-made stencils designed by Melanie, and non-toxic fabric paints
The workshop is perfect for both complete beginners and those who may have previous hand printing experience. Melanie’s unique stencilling system means you can look forward to taking home a cushion cover decorated with a design that is one of a kind.
You will learn:
· the basic techniques to achieving great stencilling results on paper and fabric· how to piece together the various plant shapes to build your own design.· Hints and tips on how to enjoy more complex layering effects· print eye-catching designs using single and multiple colours and blending techniques.· Guidance on composition
At the end of the session, information will be provided on how to fix the paint so that your cushion cover is hand washable.
All materials including aprons will be available on the day, but please wear clothes you are happy to get mucky.
