popNRW has been supporting promising and ambitious young bands from all over North Rhine-Westphalia since 2012, with the aim of strengthening the top-class music scene in NRW and making it nationally competitive. The year-round support programme is geared to the special needs of young musicians and consists of various modules and offers. Among the best-known NRW acts that popNRW has discovered and promoted in recent years are Giant Rooks, Roosevelt, International Music, Amilli, Albi X, Philine Sonny and Blumengarten.

popNRW is funded by the NRW Ministry for Economics, Industry, Climate Protection and Energy and made possible by the NRW Ministry of Culture and Science, the Landesmusikrat NRW und das NRW KULTURsekretariat.

Reception Partner:

The PopBoard NRW represents the interests of pop music in the most populous federal state and as such was founded by the active scene itself. It covers the entire music landscape - from freelance musicians to sociocultural centers and clubs to labels, publishers and distributors. It is the central point of contact for politicians and administrators, works for more appreciation and equal rights for pop music, and offers support and solutions to all those active in pop music in North Rhine-Westphalia.

The PopBoard NRW is funded by the Ministry of Culture and Science of the State of North Rhine-Westphalia.
