This Even is full! Our next paddle is set for Saturday on Labor Day weekend! More about that later. For now: This Paddle is Full! Thank you to all who continue to support the Tugaloo River Water Trail!! We appreciate each one of you! Get Ready for a Good Paddle!
We will have a "Pop Up" paddle on July 20! 8:30 am to noon!
This paddle is limited to 20 people! We will leave from our first launch at Panther Creek. (Most of you have never paddled from that point. This is a new paddle for us.)
If water levels permit, we'll paddle up to Yonah Dam and then let the river take us down stream to a couple of small islands in the top of the river. The water and the flora in this area are totally different than the rest of the river. It's beautiful. Bring your cameras!
Dave Jalovick will lead this paddle. He has studied the lives of the people who once lived along this portion of the Tugaloo River before the dam was constructed. This is a rare treat!
Take out will be at Prather Bridge. We'll stop a couple of times along the way. Pack a sack lunch, and we'll eat lunch together at Tugaloo Bend!
Cost: $20 per person ($40 for a family of four) Cash or check at the event! You will be shuttled to the put in and shuttled back to your cars at the end of the paddle. No worries; just fun!
