About this Event
The Pop-up Book
Saturday, May 30, 2026, 11:30am - 6:00pm.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION:
If you ever wanted to make a pop-up book and didn’t know where to start, this workshop
is for you! Pop-Up Fundamentals will give you the foundation to make pop-up books.
In this workshop, you will learn about the tools and materials, terminology, and how to
make basic kinetic structures. Workshop participants will make a series of pop-up
models, learn how these models can be embellished or combined to create new
structures, and assemble the models into a text block. The ultimate result is a
cased-in book of pop-up models that can serve as a reference for future creativity.
There will be a lunch break.
Materials and toolkits will be supplied.
PREREQUISITES: BB1 or equivalent.
MATERIALS FEE (paid to instructor at workshop): $15
