September 12 & 13, 2026 | Cowboy Campground @ Legacy Park
Dust off those boots, saddle up the horses, and get ready for a weekend of horses, challenges, camping, laughter and a little friendly competition, the 4th Annual Pony Express Legacy Challenge is coming back to Cowboy Campground! 🤠
This is one of those weekends that reminds us exactly why we love the horse community. Riders, families, friends and spectators come together for a fun weekend in the mountains, while helping support equine-based outdoor recreation, Legacy Park Riders Association programs, trail improvements, and youth and community initiatives.
🏆 BUT… WE NEED A LITTLE HELP FROM OUR FRIENDS!
It takes more than a fast horse to pull off the Pony Express! 😂
We are currently looking for BUCKLE & PRIZE SPONSORS to help make this year's awards extra special.
⭐ Buckle Sponsor — $125
⭐ Prize Sponsor — $75
⭐ Buckle & Prize Sponsor — $200
Sponsors receive recognition on social media and during the event, can provide promotional materials, and are welcome to provide a banner for event signage.
Whether you're a business wanting a little extra exposure, a horse-loving family, or someone who simply wants to support a great local event, we'd LOVE to have you riding along with us as a sponsor!

Because apparently the horses still refuse to set up tables, check riders in, hand out prizes, direct traffic, clean up or put everything away afterward. We've asked. They're not interested. 😂🐴
So YES we need VOLUNTEERS!
You don't have to own a horse.
You don't have to ride.
You don't have to know the difference between a fetlock and a forelock.
You just need to be willing to jump in, lend a hand and have some fun!
There are plenty of ways to help before, during and after the event. Even a couple of hours can make a BIG difference.

The Pony Express isn't just about winning a buckle.
Proceeds help support Legacy Park Riders Association programs, trail improvements, and youth and community initiatives, helping us continue creating opportunities for families and our awesome youth to enjoy horses and outdoor recreation.
It's about keeping these opportunities going.
It's about making memories.
It's about getting kids outside.
It's about supporting trails and equestrian recreation.
And, yes… it's also about bragging rights when you ride home wearing that shiny buckle. 😎🏆
