Come Fish or Picnic at HollyDay Farms!Welcome to HollyDay Farms — an Event Venue and Fishing Pond where nature meets nostalgia. Whether you’re looking to cast a line or enjoy a peaceful picnic, our private 2-acre pond offers a beautiful, quiet get-away here in Monroe, NC.
By Appointment Only:
We welcome guests every day from sunrise to sunset, by appointment only. Pick your arrival window time and fish until sunset.
No fishing license required!
Choose from a one-day pass or become part of the family with a yearly membership. Just make sure to book your visit and sign the waiver below before heading over.
About Our Pond
Fed by two natural springs, our pond is 100% natural and self-sustaining — that’s why we’re proudly catch-and-release only.
You'll find: Largemouth Bass, Crappie, Sunfish And more!
Amenities
Our park-like property includes:
A fishing dock and white gazebo
A peaceful island accessible by footbridge
Shaded picnic areas
A porch swing
Firepit with picnic tables
Concessions stand with bait, drinks, and rod rentals
Please note: Live Minnow bait is not allowed.
Admission
$10 per person (ages 13 and up)
Kids 12 and under are always FREE!
All funds help us care for the pond and maintain the grounds.
How to Book Your Fishing or Picnic Visit:
Ready to spend a peaceful day at the pond? Follow these simple steps to schedule your visit: https://www.everydayisahollyday.org/hollydayfarmsfishingpond
Scroll down and click “Book Now” under Catch & Release Fishing or Picnic Pass.
Add a service for each person in your group (ages 13 and up).
– Want to rent a fishing rod or buy bait? Just click “Add Another Service” to include those items in your reservation.
Click “Schedule Appointment.”
– Select your arrival window (this is your check-in time, not your total visit length). You’re welcome to fish or picnic until sunset.
Click “Next” to choose how you want to pay:
– Use your membership or purchase a one-day pass.
Click “Add to Cart” and check out using Apple Pay, PayPal, Google Pay, or a credit/debit card.
That’s it! Once you’ve booked and signed your waiver, you're all set. When you arrive during your arrival window, just park along the driveway between the trees and go fish :) If you still need to pay, sign waiver or get bait or rods, walk to the concession stand where you can do all of those things.

Pond Secrets & Fishing Tips
Want to know where the big ones hide? Here’s the inside scoop:
South side (near the road): This original section is over 60 years old and deepest — perfect for largemouth bass. The side near the irrigation pipes and driveway is where the biggest bass have been caught. The side with the pond overflow culverts is also a great spot because there's a lot of shelters under the water, but you will need to use a topwater lure or you might lose your lure.
North side (near the house): Expanded in 1999–2000, this area is shallower and warmer — home to sunfish, brim, and crappie.
Gazebo and island spots: Almost guaranteed to catch something!
