Explore the traditions of Hawaiʻi and Tahiti through cultural dance. This introduction to Hula and ʻOri Tahiti will provide students with an understanding of the basic footwork, motions, and Hawaiian or Tahitian terminology involved in the traditional Polynesian dances. Hula is a low to moderate intensity dance class for those interested in learning the graceful storytelling of the Hawaiian people. ʻOri Tahiti is a moderate to high intensity dance class for those interested in learning Tahitian storytelling through upbeat hip movements.Join us every Saturday for a complimentary class from June 7th-August 30th at 9:00 AM in Fountain Square for this special Polynesian dance experience lead by Lia Tupou, a dancer for world renowned group Nonosina, follow the link to see more of her talents https://bit.ly/4jtEAqE
