All Supplies Provided
In this one-day workshop, students will learn how to work with polymer clay to create unique Terrazzo style earrings they'll be proud to wear! Students will make multiple pairs of earrings while learning beginner skills such as:
- Clay Conditioning
- Color Blending
- Proper Clay Thickness
- Texturing
- Chain Assembly
- Proper Curing
During class, students will be able to choose from a wide selection of clay cutters from abstract shapes to more defined designs like hearts, stars, and flowers. Once all students’ earrings are ready, we’ll take a 45-minute break to allow earrings to cure before assembling into wearable jewelry. During this time, students are welcome to explore the gallery, have a quick lunch, and get to know one another!
From the artist:
"Polymer clay is one of those mediums where everyone has a different way of doing things which can make at home learning overwhelming, frustrating, and at times - isolating. It's easy to find quick tutorials online, but it's harder to find a supportive community that works together to troubleshoot when things go wrong. My polymer clay workshops aim to provide support and community to all who are interested in this medium, but don't know where to start."
