Pollinators at Home Workshop

The City of Elgin Sustainability Commission will host a free workshop from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 10 at the Gail Borden Public Library Grove Room, located at 270 N. Grove Ave.
Attendees will learn:
• Why native plants matter for pollinators, birds, water quality, the community and climate resilience
• How to choose native plants for different yard conditions
• Simple planting and maintenance tips
• How the Pollinators at Home grant works and how to apply
• Where to find ongoing support and resources
