Cumberland County, Pennsylvania – Penn State Extension in Cumberland County is hosting a Pollination Day Camp led by 4-H Summer Assistant, Emily Stambaugh, on August 11 from 9:00am – 12:00pm at the Cumberland County Extension Office, 310 Allen Road in Carlisle. This camp is free and open to all youth ages 7-11 (as of 01/01/2021) to learn about the pollination process, pollinator species, and flowers used in pollination. Register now to have fun participating in hands-on activities and creating take-home pollinator crafts. For more information, please contact the 4-H department at 717-240-6500.
Cumberland County 4-H is open to all youth ages 5-18 and has clubs for all interests including, cooking, art, outdoors, science, animals, and leadership. Participation from all youth and their families is encouraged.
Administered in Pennsylvania by Penn State Extension, 4-H is a community of more than 6 million young people across America learning leadership, citizenship, and life skills. Cumberland County – in addition to the other 66 counties throughout the state – has an Extension Youth Development Educator administering the local 4-H program through non-formal education and outreach.
