About this Event

Come get inky! Join us for this special hands-on workshop to create wood type posters of personal significance.

As this workshop is in advance of Indiginous People's Day, perhaps you want to create a printed acknowledgement about the land of the Tongva (Gabrieleno) people, or perhaps you want to create a poster to express your feelings about another issue that is important to you.

Learn how to handset historic wood type using selections from the museum's amazing collection. Then explore how to lock up your form on a Vandercook press from the 1960's, how to ink up, and print by hand! Go home at the end of the day with posters you set and printed yourself!

For the safety of the class, participants will need to provide proof of vaccination and wear masks while indoors.
