The film festival “Aus der Nacht heraus” takes place for the sixth time on the 7th, 14th, 21st and 22nd of June 2024. This year's festival programme raises criticism of the political system and reflects the current state of society, followed by three screenings of films by pioneering directors and a drag performance. Our guest speakers are activists, lawyers, educators, journalists and culture professionals.
The solidarity group "Auswärts- Εκτός Έδρας" invites you to the fourth day (Saturday, 22. June) of the Film festival "Aus der Nacht heraus 6" for an evening dedicated to: Political Drag from a Queer Feminist Perspective.
The programme will start with a panel discussion followed by a a drag show.
Saturday, 22. June 2024: Political Drag from a Queer Feminist Perspective
Queer-feminist voices are still fighting to be heard, wherever oppressive systems prevail. Worldwide, the rights of non-binary, queer, trans* and gender non-conforming folks are questioned, their identities are scrutinized, and their safety is too often compromised. Drag is a radical act of defiance and resistance against attempts to silence and marginalize whoever does not conform to normative socially imposed ideals. Hence, we conclude this year’s festival not with a film, but with giving Drag Riots, a queer-feminist migrant Drag collective, the time and space to present themselves and their art, which stands against heteronormativity, patriarchy, colonialism, and every system violating human dignity and personal boundaries.

After the Panel Discussion the drag show will start! Alexander the Dick, Vallien, Laboba Buzukgina, Trashkila Rania, Drag Queen Lafert will take the stage for an amazing drag show!

Die Soli Gruppe "Auswärts- Εκτός Έδρας" lädt euch zum vierten Tag des Filmfestivals "Aus der Nacht heraus 6" zu einem Abend ein, der dem folgenden Thema gewidmet ist:
Samstag, 22. Juni 2024: Politisches Drag aus einer queer-feministischen Perspektive
Queer-feministische Stimmen kämpfen weiterhin darum, gehört zu werden, wo immer unterdrückende Systeme vorherrschen. Weltweit werden die Rechte von nichtbinären, queeren, trans* und geschlechtlich nichtkonformen Menschen infrage gestellt, ihre Identitäten werden hinterfragt und ihre Sicherheit wird zu oft gefährdet. Drag ist ein radikaler Akt des Widerstands gegen Versuche, all jene zum Schweigen zu bringen und zu marginalisieren, die nicht den normativen, gesellschaftlich auferlegten Idealen entsprechen. Daher beschließen wir das diesjährige Festival nicht mit einem Film, sondern indem wir Drag Riots, einem queer-feministischen Migrant*innen-Drag-Kollektiv, die Zeit und den Raum geben, sich und ihre Kunst zu präsentieren. Diese Kunst steht gegen Heteronormativität, Patriarchat, Kolonialismus und jedes System, das die Menschenwürde und persönliche Grenzen verletzt.
