About this Event

None of us were born PR pros, and public speaking is not an innate skill. It takes practice to learn poise and confidence. Now more than ever, influence requires presence, professionalism and the ability to speak with clarity and confidence. Whether you’re meeting new clients, running a meeting, giving an interview in a crisis situation, presenting new ideas to your board or testifying before the legislature, you’ll learn how to establish presence and professionalism to maximize your public speaking opportunities. Join two veteran communicators with broad public agency, private sector and political experience for a highly interactive presentation designed to prepare you to confidently communicate in public.

This session offers timely tips and tools (and it never hurts to get in on a refresher!) for all levels of professionals. Join pros/trainers Janelle Guthrie, APR, Fellow PRSA and Communications Director for the Building Industry Association of Washington and Dianne Danowski Smith, APR, Fellow PRSA, President/Founder of Publix Northwest PR + PA at this popular reprise of the session they offered at the PRSA 2022 ICON (international conference).
