Vanishing Elephant Players presents Polish Joke by David Ives! A comedy about ethnic identity and the eternal American search for roots. Jasiu is a Polish-American who has been taught not to value his roots, so he decides to make his own, reinventing himself multiple times. Jasiu is also bedeviled by a reappearing Polish relative and has to face off with the ghost of a dead Polish patriot. In the end, by trying to get away from his ethnic background, Jasiu finds out who he is and what it means to be “a Pole."Performance dates: July 12-13 at 7pm July 14 at 3pm
Tickets are $15 for all performances. We also have a limited number of free community tickets! Please use if you need, no questions asked. All proceeds go toward the restoration of our home theater, the Historic Masonic Temple of Bay City. Please note that due to stairs leading into the building, as well as down to the bathrooms, our building is not yet accessible to all.
