Accessing the internet and understanding our digital world is no longer a luxury but a necessity in today’s society. Students often need access to do homework, job applicants need basic digital skills to build a resume and the workforce usually requires some level of digital literacy for standard job function.
In this Policy With a Splash of Coffee, we will explore the role digital access has in education and workforce initiatives, and how we can better bolster these efforts through Broadband Equity, Access and Deployment (BEAD) and the Digital Equity Act.
