The 11th Annual Police Appreciation Day is a day to honor all of those officers who risk their lives to protect all of us. This years event will be dedicate to Aaron Amptmeyer. We have put together this event to show community support for all of our men and women in blue. The event will kick off with a parade consisting of law enforcement, fire and rescue vehicles, antique vehicles as well as various motorcycle groups. The parade route will be from Park Place East on 109th Ave. to Cline North to 1o1st Ave. West to Rt. 41 North to Rt. 30 East to Cline Ave. N. to Joliet St. and East to The Halls of St. George. Once at the Halls the officers will be led into the hall by the Lake County Pipes and Drums and introduced to the crowd. There will be a brief number of speeches, followed by entertainment provided by Jerry Clemons and The Nick Danger Band. This is a family event and free to the public. Food and beverages will be available for purchase.
