Think of it as a mounted boot camp.Legs, bums and tums session on your horse to help you both.
Coaching with High-Performance Coach Senara Caddy
(BEF/UKCC4, BHS Senior Coach, Advanced Centre10 Coach and MSc in Sports Coaching).
Senara is one of only two UKCC Level 4 coaches in Cornwall and less than 65 in the UK.
Senara specialises in adults, so she understands those aching bodies and fluffy brains.
Position is so important in all aspects of riding.
Allowing your horse to carry you more comfortably and perform better with you on his back.
Better balance from you and more stickability when things go wrong. More precise aids and working as one with your horse.
How often do you ride without stirrups and work...I mean, really work?
These sessions are a mix of stirrupless work for those who are okay with it and for horses that are strong enough to allow the rider to do so.
If you can't ride stirrupless, don't worry. The focus will be on your position with your stirrups, and there are plenty of exercises to do this.
The pole part involves using poles to aid your work—not necessarily going over the poles but through them to map and control your lines. It also involves looking at rider and horse posture.
Poles can be ridden over to work on straightness and balance, but this will be done with stirrups.
So, if you fancy a bloody good workout in the new year, this one is for you.
