Why pole work? Pole work is often used as a build up to jumping but has its place in all levels of rider and all disciplines.
The benefits of pole work to a rider include improving our balance and accuracy, building confidence working up to jumping and helping to get the most out of our horses.
For the horse pole work is used to improve overall way of going. It can encourage more engagement, rhythm, fluency, and connection and can be used as part of regular fitness work as well as an important part of any rehabilitation plan.
