Put your hat on backwards and get ready to battle trainers! Pokémon Pinball is finally here and there’s no better way to celebrate than with a launch party tournament at The Original Pinballz Arcade! Join us Monday, June 1st at 7:30 PM for a night of pinball and friendly competition as we test your flipper skills to see who can make it as Pokémon League champion.This tournament is open to players of all experience levels and is IFPA certified. Dress up as your favorite Pokémon or rock your favorite casual tee. Whether you are a beginner or a seasoned competitor, come meet fellow pinball fans and get ready for an unforgettable journey as you discover, catch, and bond with many of your favorite Pokémon.
Matchplay Qualifying:
For the first 6 rounds, players will be placed into groups of 4 and compete head to head on our brand new Pokémon pinball machine. Players earn points based on their finishing position within the group, with top performers advancing to the Strikes Final.
- Point System: Players earn points based on placement (1st = 4 points, 2nd = 3 points, 3rd = 2 points, 4th = 1 point).
- Swiss Style Pairing: Players are regrouped after each round based on their point standings.
- Top Players Advance: The highest ranked players after qualifying rounds move on to the finals.
Strikes Final:
In the final round, qualified players will compete in a timed strikes knockout tournament to determine the tournament champion. Third and fourth place get a strike; first and second are safe.
- Strikes: The two players with the lower scores receive a strike.
- Eliminations: Players who receive two strikes are eliminated.
- Pokémon Prizes: Top 4 players at the end will receive trophies, cash prizes, and Pokémon merchandise.
IFPA Certified:
This launch tournament is an IFPA certified event and will follow official player conduct rules. You can review the full conduct rules on the IFPA website.
