Poker Run for Tallaght Marching Band
MOTORCYCLE POKER RUN – SUNDAY 11TH OCTOBER 2026
OK folks, I’m putting together a Motorcycle Poker Run on Sunday, October 11th, and I’d love to get your thoughts and, hopefully, your support!
Tallaght Marching Band is one of the area’s long-established community music organisations. The band is now working towards an incredibly exciting opportunity of representing Ireland at the 2027 WAMSB World Championships in Galway, taking place in August 2027.
With the costs involved in uniforms, instruments, music, equipment, travel and competing at this level, I’d like to do something a little different to help them raise much-needed funds.
We’ll kick things off at Arcadia Café & Bar, Kiltipper, where we’ll have a full Irish breakfast and registration before heading off into the Wicklow Mountains.
🏁 THE ROUTE
We’ll travel in small groups of 8–10 motorcycles, with a designated group leader in each group. The leader will be responsible for dealing the cards at each poker stop.

🍳 Full Irish breakfast & registration
Then we head into Wicklow:
🃏 Card 1 – Sally Gap
🃏 Card 2 – Glenmacnass Waterfall
🃏 Card 3 – Laragh / Glendalough
🃏 Card 4 – Rathdrum
🃏 Card 5 – Woodenbridge
🏁 FINISH – Gorey

After the finish, riders can disperse or make their way back to Dublin, I’ll take learner using national roads only.
💶 ENTRY – €50 PER PERSON
Your €50 includes:
🍳 €15 – Full Irish breakfast
🃏 €15 – Poker Run
🏆 1st & 2nd prize in each group
❤️ €20 – Donation to Tallaght Marching Band
The aim is to have a great day’s riding, meet some new people, enjoy some of the best scenery Wicklow has to offer and, most importantly, raise some much-needed funds for Tallaght Marching Band.
🏍️ LEARNER & EXPERIENCED RIDERS WELCOME
This is intended to be a relaxed, non-competitive ride. We’ll travel in groups with a leader, keeping the groups manageable and allowing everyone to enjoy the day.
NO RACING • NO TIMED SECTIONS • NO PRESSURE
📢 OPEN TO EVERYONE
All bikes, clubs, groups, learners and experienced riders are welcome. 🏍️
