Poker for Ponies is an official Derby Week charity poker tournament raising funds for Thoroughbred aftercare organizations.
These organizations provide essential retraining, rehabilitation, and rehoming for Thoroughbreds after their racing careers end, ensuring their safety and lifelong care beyond the track. This work is critical to the integrity and future of our sport.
In 2025, we raised $500,000, benefiting 50 accredited aftercare charities. In 2026, we’re aiming to continue our support for these organizations in a big way!
Join us for an evening of competition and community, where every hand dealt helps fund second careers and safe futures for Thoroughbreds.
