Format: Gym Leader Challenge
This is a 3-round (best of 1) casual event. Players earn two boster packs per win and one per draw. Games will count toward league points.
Gym Leader Challenge Rules
-The Expanded Format card pool (Black & White onwards) is legal.
-Your deck can only contain one type (color) of Pokémon (dual-type Pokémon are allowed in either deck).
-Only one of each card with the same name* is allowed in a deck, except for Basic Energy.
-Banned Cards:
- All ACE SPEC cards
- All Pokémon with a Rule Box** (e.g. Pokémon EX, GX, V, BREAK, Radiant Pokémon, Prism Stars)
- Chip-Chip Ice Axe (SM–Unbroken Bonds 165/214)
- Forest of Giant Plants (XY–Ancient Origins, 74/98)
- Hiker (SM–Celestial Storm 133/168, Hidden Fates SV85/SV94)
- Kyogre (Shining Fates 021/072)
- Lysandre’s Trump Card (XY–Phantom Forces, 99/119, 118/119)
- Oranguru (SM–Ultra Prism, 114/156)
*Similar to Expanded Format rules, you can either play Lysandre OR Boss's Orders in your deck, not both. The same goes for Professor Juniper, Professor Sycamore, and Professor's Research; you can only play one of the three.
**Ancient Traits are NOT considered Rule Boxes so those Pokémon are legal for Gym Leader Challenge.
