What Is a Pokémon League Challenge?
Pokémon League Challenge and League Cup events are smaller, local competitions held at participating Play! Pokémon Stores and may feature Pokémon TCG, Pokémon VGC, and Pokémon GO competitions.
League Challenge events are entry-level competitions and are a great opportunity for players of all experience levels to participate in organized Pokémon play.
League Cup events offer a step up in competition, with players competing for greater rewards.
At both types of events, competitors may earn prizes as well as Championship Points toward earning an invitation to the Pokémon World Championships. Additional prizes may also be awarded at the organizer's discretion.

**Important Note: Pokémon Player ID Required**
All participants in Pokémon League Challenges must have a Pokémon Player ID in order to participate.
To generate a Player ID, please follow these steps:
1. Go to Pokemon.com.
2. Click Log In.
3. From the menu on the left-hand side, click Play! Pokémon Settings.
4. In the Play! Pokémon Account section, select "Please assign me a new Player ID number."
5. Review and accept the Play! Pokémon Terms of Use, then click Submit.
6. In the Play! Pokémon Preferences section, select whether you would like to participate in Play! Pokémon Programs and which product you would like your Play! Points to go toward.
7. Click Submit to save your preferences.
Please make sure your Pokémon Player ID is set up before the event so you're ready to play!
