About this Event

Join us for an afternoon of heritage craft and compassion at our Poke a Patch for Palestine: Tatreez Embroidery Workshop on Thursday, 18th April 2024. From 2 to 3.30 PM at The Vic Cafe & Bar, Glasgow School of Art Student Union, immerse yourself in the delicate art of Tatreez—traditional Palestinian embroidery known for its intricate beauty and cultural significance, and create your own unique patches to take home.

While you learn and create alongside others who appreciate this historic craft, you'll also be supporting a vital cause. Every ticket sold turns into aid for Gaza through Medical Aid Palestine and ESims for Gaza. Purchasing eSims allows people within Gaza to connect to the outside to communicate with their families and also to show what’s happening within Gaza. Read here for details on the efforts.

Don't miss this opportunity to weave threads of hope into every stitch. Register for the workshop today and become part of a creative force for good!

Tickets are sliding scale of £10-15 depending on individual financial circumstances.

All materials are included in the price, as well as tea, coffee and Arabic treats/biscuits.

All levels of experience welcome. Ages 16+.
