Pointeworks is excited to expand our second season to Irvine audiences, presenting a captivating evening of powerful world premieres. Under the direction of Artistic Director Sophie Williams, the Summer 2025 Season promises a vibrant mix of energy and elegance.
The performance will feature a diverse repertoire, including:
Three World Premieres:
1 - Reka Gyulai: Local favorite returns with innovative choreography.
2 - Laine Habony: Fresh and dynamic pieces from the NYC Ballet choreographer.
3 - DaYoung Jung: New Work
"Carousel" Duet by Christopher Wheeldon
This timeless piece will be performed with live piano orchestration. Its enchanting and whimsical nature offers a delightful contrast to the evening’s contemporary works and will surely sweep you off your feet.
With a talented cast of 12 international dancers, this season promises a thrilling mix of classical and contemporary styles, dramatic intensity, and emotional depth.
