It’s the height of summer! The city brims with euphoria and feel-good vibes, but we’re here to escape the summer bliss together. Enter Supergloom! It’s time for a deep and refreshing dive into the meadows of leftfield pop—two nights of mesmerizing melancholy await. Join us for a concert night at Kulturzentrum Giesinger Bahnhof as part of the Giesing Is A Feeling series, following a pensive preparty at our beloved nonconformist hangout: Favoritbar. Pay What You Can at Giesing and free entry at Favo means everyone’s invited!
Zooey & Rahel, along with Point No Point from Berlin, will enchant us with experimental, blue-tinted Alt-Pop gems alongside Düsseldorf’s Hiraeth, weaving deep-diving Ambient and Noise hybrids on Friday in Giesing. Meanwhile, the night before, join us at Favoritbar for an evening of gazing at the ceiling and perhaps a wistful waltz or two.
***POINT NO POINT (Experimental Pop, Berlin)
POINT NO POINT ist das Soloprojekt der Berliner Musikerin Jana Sotzko (u.a. auch bei Dropout Patrol, Halfsilks, Soft Grid). Bisher hat sie zwei Alben (Drift, 2019 und Bad Vibes In Mushroom Forest, 2022) bei Späti Palace und Katuktu Collective veröffentlicht. Live wird daraus eine komplette Band mit eigenständiger Dynamik und improvisationsfreudiger Neubearbeitung der Aufnahmen. Zur Band gehören aktuell Karen Thompson (u.a. Gym Tonic, Halfsilks, Bella and the Bizarre), Robin Harder (Elmar) und Simón Castro Gana (Uyuy). Irgendwo zwischen Pop, Kraut und Post-Punk changierend spielten sie in dieser Formation bereits in zahlreichen Clubs sowie auf Festivals wie dem Torstraßenfestival oder der Fusion.
Im März 2025 erschien bei Ichi Ichi (Frankfurt a.M.) die EP “Haus ohne Schatten.” Sie wurde bereits im letzten Jahr erstmals komplett von der Liveband eingespielt und kommt daher nervöser und ungeschliffener daher, als die beiden früheren Alben. Näher am Livesound als bisher, enthält sie 6 an zwei Tagen im Berliner Butterama Studio eingespielte Songs über Mondlandschaften, das Aufwachsen in Ostberlin oder Sex als Unterwasserwesen.
***RAHEL&ZOOEY (Experimental, Berlin)
rahel&zooey is a duo based in Berlin, playing synthesizer, sampler and guitar. After they met a few years ago they changed their setup for each concert, exploring their sound with only one continuity: they always sing in unison. It’s silky, noisy, unknown and fun. This breeding ground was developed into their debut album 'wait', releasing on the Bernese label 'unvague' in March 2025. Keep your eyes peeled for some special collaborations releasing soon as well!

Hiraeth: A homesickness for a home you can't return to, or that never was.
Sarah Košicki is a German/ Croatian singer and noise artist. With her dark ambient folkish sound and uncanny topics, she still remains to levitate listeners into a sphere of melancholy and nostalgia.
