About this Event

Point Dume Volunteer Weeding - California State Parks

Join California State Parks for a special volunteer stewardship day at Point Dume State Beach! Volunteers will work alongside State Parks natural resources staff to help restore this unique coastal landscape by hand-removing invasive Euphorbia (false caper) that threatens native plants and wildlife habitat.

Point Dume is home to rare coastal bluff ecosystems, nesting birds, pollinators, and culturally significant landscapes. By removing invasive plants, volunteers help create space for native species like giant coreopsis, dudleya, and other coastal bluff vegetation to thrive.

This will be a hands-on restoration event with guidance from State Parks natural resources and cultural resource staff.

Parking
There is some free stree parking in the neighborhood on Grasswood (0.5 mi). There is also parking available at Zuma Beach down below. Limited paid meter parking is available on Clifside Drive. Allow extra time to park and walk to the site before the event begins.
