About this Event
As we walk, we'll describe the fascinating history of the beacon, one of the first lighthouses on the West Coast, and the only one accessed by passing through a tunnel and over a suspension bridge!
After we take in the incredible views from the lighthouse, we'll have lunch and take a short hike on the Lagoon Trail to Rodeo Beach.
Coastal and bayfront communities in Marin County and throughout the Bay Area are imperiled by sea level rise. Greenbelt Alliance is working with these communities to build climate resilience. Read about our work here: People for Watershed Resilience
TOTAL DISTANCE
The trail to the lighthouse is a one-mile round trip. There is one steep stretch. The hike following the lighthouse visit is a couple of miles roundtrip.
